Where to stay in Coorg?

We stayed at Rare Earth Estate Homestay by Taj.

lighttravelaction-coorg

It was a 5 bedroom Heritage Bungalow that Gives You the Classical Feel of Southern India. This is the only Taj property outside the plantation.

I think there are 5 properties inside the plantation of different sizes. We needed a 5 room bungalow so we chose rare earth. The staff was very cordial and they cooked the meals for us both veg and non-veg.

If your budget is more you can also try Taj Madikeri. We visited only for lunch but the location is beautiful.

If you like elephants, you can visit Dubare Elephant Camp. However, I would personally recommend not visiting it. The elephants are chained and they are often forced into photoshoots.

I liked visiting the Raja’s Tomb and the fort is good for photoshoot
