People have never needed faith and community more than they do right now. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on millions of lives and continues to inflict chaos, confusion, and despair as we move into 2021.

But faith remains that one beacon of hope for millions more of us; that one thing in our lives that we can always count on and a large part of that faith is sharing it with others in our places of worship.

Because, whether Christian, Sikh, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or Jew, we all share in the joy of community and for many of us, that community is centred around our houses of worship.

The problem with COVID, however, is that it’s a disease that thrives in communities and in social gatherings, which is why so many houses of worship have seen depleted congregations at the time when they are needed the most.

Once we’ve emerged from this third lockdown, however, there is going to be a renewed burst of interest in communal worship and in being able to do so safely.

That’s where our large, high-quality LED displays come into play and when used in tandem with the latest software, they offer a legitimate and powerful solution for places of worship across the globe.

The benefits of LED displays in houses of worship

In the halcyon days before COVID, houses of worship were able to get by with little more than a microphone, a few well-positioned loudspeakers and the message.

With social distancing meaning that congregations will need to sit further apart, however, houses of worship have shifted operating strategies to suit this new normal.

Many places are still operating as usual, but with major restrictions as far as numbers are concerned. Some have migrated temporarily, holding meetings in car parks and exhibition halls that are perhaps big enough to safely house everyone.

For all these kinds of meetings, large indoor or outdoor LED screens are the best way to ensure everyone can see what’s going on and feel as if they are a part of the proceedings rather than just passive observers.

They can also be used to display messaging that helps everyone follow the guidelines and stay safe, particularly in small houses of worship with older users who might have trouble understanding the changes.

Multiple screens can also be used to expand the service and give it a modern edge with the order of service, readings and even lyrics to hymns shown on LED video screens.

They could even be used to show videos that reinforce the messages in the service or for Muslim worshippers, it could be used to display a live feed from Mecca. There are hundreds of applications and they can be expanded upon exponentially if used with the right software.

EasyWorship

EasyWorship is a powerful software solution used by places of worship to create compelling, modern services that can be programmed with various pieces of media to create an amplified worshipping experience.

This software can be easily integrated with our LED screens to create the centrepiece of your large-scale worshipping practice – whether you’re doing so at your church, mosque, synagogue, temple, or local recreation centre.

It’s these kinds of practical, forward-thinking solutions that are going to pull us out of this crisis and help us find our way back to some semblance of normality.

It’s going to be a long road, but as long as we have faith and we have each other, we’ll get there eventually!
